Wall Mount Open Network Rack
Open Racks

Open racks look just like the above picture. They have plenty of ventilation, but offer no security, which are two of the main factors when choosing a rack. They are usually less expensive but easier to service. The other main factor when choosing a rack is how many Rack Unit's you need. A Rack Unit (RU) is 1.75", and racks come in a variety of RU counts to accommodate your needs today and your needs in the future. If you need any help choosing the best rack for your business, feel free to to discuss your options.

Wall Mount Closed Network Rack
Closed Racks

Closed racks are basically open racks, but they have sides and a door, both of which can be removable and are usually lockable with a key. They offer much better security as far as access to the equipment inside them than open racks, but because of this, they usually have poorer ventilation for heat, which can require a fan kit if your equipment produces a fair amount of heat. If your business processes payment cards or handles other sensitive information, such as health/medical information, your equipment should be in a secured rack, with limited and logged access. If you need help on deciding which rack is best for your business, we are here to help, please with any questions.

Network Patch Panel Wall Bracket
Wall Brackets

Wall brackets are mostly for installing a patch panel where there is no rack. They most commonly come in 1-4 RU (1 RU=1.75"), but can come in bigger sizes. Some have a hinge on one side for easy access, some don't. We always recommend getting the wall bracket with the hinge. If you need any help with obtaining a wall bracket, we are here to help, just soon.
