Closed racks are basically open racks, but they have sides and a door, both of which can be removable and are usually lockable with a key. They offer much better security as far as access to the equipment inside them than open racks, but because of this, they usually have poorer ventilation for heat, which can require a fan kit if your equipment produces a fair amount of heat. Wall brackets are mostly for installing a patch panel where there is no rack. They most commonly come in 1-4 RU (1 RU=1.75"), but can come in bigger sizes.
